Community Composting
Excel has installed decentralised OWC (Organic Waste Converter) plants for ward-level composting in cities such as Pune, Panjim, Thrissur, Kakinada, Elluru, etc with treatment capacities ranging between 2 TPD and 10 TPD. The compost generated is used for various landscaping and gardening requirements of urban spaces within the town or city. These plants provide employment for urban poor while proper segregation and avoids long distance transport of waste.
